Swap Shuffle Share is the brainchild of Natasha Kuperman and is all about swapping and sharing local produce. The “backyard food revolution, “, it began in Melbourne, but has now gone national. The Swap Shuffle Share website was launched on Australia Day – January 26, 2012 – and allows people to create a profile, join a local group, list an event, share a recipe, or chat with other members. You can also follow them on facebook.
According to the website this is an online community of people keen on locally grown food.
A lot of us grow our own food in our backyard, patio or community garden. This site provides a place to connect with other members and share information like recipes, gardening tips and details of local food events. We want to support our neighbours and local community in becoming more self-sufficient, sharing the bounty of our own edible gardens, and sharing our knowledge over a cup of coffee at the next meet up!
