Today I’m sending you elsewhere for your dose of simple, sustainable goodness.
Have you ever looked at my Linky List page?
There are now literally dozens of blogs linked up over the eight categories.
I love that there are so many blogs in this general niche of sustainable living, and the culture of blogs linking to each other, in posts and in their sidebars. Sharing the love!
Finding community is an essential part of how we achieve support for our various different lifestyle choices, whether it’s making our own cleaning products or cosmetics, or giving up the family car. And online community can, I think, be almost as valuable as off. I do think finding “in real life” community is also important. But then sometimes, online communities can become “IRL” ones too.
I also love looking at the different images people use to link up and all the names they choose for their blogs. Some of the newer additions are “A Simple Track” “My Blissful Journey” and “Flood Proof Mum” and “Alexa – A Simple Life“. (I wasn’t going to include links here, because I want you to go find them on the Linky page, but that just seemed too mean.) Have a read, or find someone else to inspire you. They are just some of the blog titles that have caught my eye today.
The categories are:
- Suburban and Urban Homesteading;
- A Country Plot: Out of Town Homesteaders/Self-Suffciency;
- Parents Living Sustainably;
- Frugal & Low Consumption Living;
- Crafty Hand Made;
- Real/SOLE Food;
- It’s All About The Garden;
- General Slow, Sustainable or Simple Living (just in case those headings have left someone out!).
PS I just spent a few hours going through and fixing a few links in there, and I also deleted a few blogs that have disappeared, and corrected some that linked to a POST whereas the idea is that you link the BLOG as a whole. I simply couldn’t go through the whole lot though, so if you find any broken links, please let me know.
Do you have particular go-to blogs that inspire and motivate you in your life? Please do share them in the comments.
I have lots of blogs I go to for all kinds of thing! I like that you have compiled all these ones though, so now I know where to look when I want specific info 🙂
Hope you find some you like there Jess 🙂
Hi Kirsten,
