The Fabulous Norwex Body Cloths and Baby Cloths

Last updated on December 13th, 2023 at 02:10 pm

The Awesome Norwex body and baby cloths. These cloths are AWESOME for cleaning your face and body without any kind of soap or body wash. Just Use Water.
It’s another Giveaway week! Woohoo!
Of course, there’s still the last giveaway to – well, to give away – see details on the WINNERS below.
But first, this week’s giveaway. Last time I talked about the wonderful Norwex make-up removal cloth, so sticking with the personal care theme, this week we’ll talk about the Norwex Body Cloths and Baby Body Cloths.

Never use soap again

Norwex body cloths in vintage colours - latte, teal and taupe. Antibac. SustainableSuburbia.netThese cloths are AWESOME for cleaning your face and body without any kind of soap or body wash. Just Use Water.
Since soap is incredibly drying for your skin, this is a great development, plus, if you are used to using soap or some kind of expensive, sensitive skin body wash, these will save you a HEAP of money.
I actually had a friend who bought some call me up last week, to tell me how she always uses soap, all over her body, and she just couldn’t believe that she could use just a body cloth with water, and still get really clean. She was sure she would smell by morning! But, she gave it a try, and when she called me she said:
“And Kirsten, I felt the cleanest I’ve ever been!” (And no, she didn’t smell by morning!)
These are a lovely soft microfiber cloth, that – like most microfibre, feels very grippy when used dry on dry skin (okay, let me translate that as a little like fingernails on a chalk board, though no-where near as much as the envirocloth). BUT, when either the cloth or your skin is wet, it feels fine, though you can still feel the “grippy-ness” – that sense that it is really cleaning.

Cleaning up your kids

Now, what’s the difference between the body cloths and the baby cloths? Well, aside from colour, basically just size. But the baby cloths are EXCELLENT for wiping little kids hands & faces, all day long. They are just the right size for it, and they are waaay better than your average cotton wash cloth for cleaning off and hanging onto the food kids manage to smear everywhere.
And, just like the difference between the envirocloth and an ordinary cloth, they don’t just smear the dirt around, they wipe it right off. That’s the grippy microfibre and Norwex’s incredible thread count doing its job.
You can also use the baby cloths for cloth nappy wipes, but since my kids are all out of nappies (Yippee!!) I don’t need to worry about that anymore! 🙂
The baby cloths are also great to take out and about with you for cleaning your kids (and babies) on the run. And they’re WONDERFUL for dealing with greasy, oily, buttery messes. Like when your toddler gets into the butter because she thinks it should be eaten like cheese. Or is that just mine? Keep them in a handy dandy “reusable wet wipes bag” (two separate water-proof pockets) and you are good to go!
They are great for wiping your baby’s gums too.
And, of course, you can use them in the bath.

Acne

The body cloths are also recommended for use with acne, and again, can be used without any other cleanser.  As I believe I mentioned in my last giveaway post, the make-up removal cloths are also good for this, and better if you have sensitive skin. (For sensitive skin use the body cloth on your body, but get a pack of make-up removal cloths for your face, especially around the eyes and chin areas.)
Like most Norwex cloths, the body and baby cloths do have embedded silver, which will purify the cloth of bacteria, as it dries out. BUT if you are using them for acne, they nonetheless recommend laundering them daily.  They come in three packs though, so that’s not too much of a burden.
(See also Why are the Norwex Body Cloths so Effective Against Acne?)

Face paint and makeup

The body cloths will also remove face paint and makeup, but the suede makeup removal cloths are a better option if you wear makeup daily, especially mascara and other eye makeup, since that delicate eye area needs to be treated kindly. The soft suede microfibre is just more gentle.

How to use them?

To use Norwex face and body cloths, wet them and then wring them out. Like most microfibre, they are most effective when damp but not dripping, BUT, if your skin is dry or  sensitive, and especially for use around the eyes, use them a little wetter. For oily skin or a deeper exfoliation, wring out well.
The more they are wrung out, the more they will exfoliate. The wetter they are, the less they will exfoliate, and the gentler they are on the skin.
I tend to use the body cloth in the shower, quite wet for my face, whereas if I am washing my face before bed (outside of the shower) I will use the more gentle makeup removal cloths.
You can also use them instead of shaving cream or soap when shaving your legs! Just give your legs a good scrub with the body cloth, then shave, for a MUCH smoother (and quicker) shave, than I have ever got before!

Would you like to WIN one of these cloths?

Once again, you can enter this giveaway without a social media account. You can just look at the catalogue instead. But last time, so many people just said that what they would really like was the make-up removal cloth, that I am making it a little harder this time. So here’s how to enter.
First, you need to be subscribed to my email list (hint, if you’ve downloaded my book or my free non-toxic cleaning printables, and you haven’t unsubscribed, you’re already there – you should be getting a weekly email).
Secondly you can do EITHER or BOTH of the following. You can enter multiple times by sharing on social media.
1. Look at the catalogue (find the link here) and leave a comment below, to tell me which THREE products you would most like, and WHY. Mentioning the body or baby cloths doesn’t count!
2. You can share this post in your social media account, and link to it here. Be fair – if you have a social media account that you use solely for entering giveaways, and that virtually no-one follows, don’t use it. Go for option 1 instead. You can enter multiple times with different, active, social media accounts.
Entries are open until Friday March 14, and winners will be announced in my March 18 post.

One more thing before you go

The WINNERS of the Makeup Removal Cloths giveaway are:

  • Amy
  • Penelope

& (for one international reader):

  • Danni

Congratulations to the winners, and better luck next time (this time, even!) to everyone else.

  1. Okay, I will take the challenge.
    I would love to try:
    1. The kids bubble bath – because my youngest resists bathtime like nothing else, and putting bubbles in it makes a HUGE difference, but I am not happy with having her bathing in even slightly-nasty chemicals (I mean, come on, she is lying in the stuff). And, I haven’t found the “better” brands (ie safer) to keep their bubbles for very long.
    2. The oven and grill cleaner, because I have a friend who went to a Norwex party and RAVED about how well this cleaned the oven, with NO SMELL. No nasty chemicals, but it just ate away at the grime with enzymes. That I would like to see (and trust me, my oven needs it!!).
    3. I would like to try the window cloth, because I haven’t found vinegar or any of the other ‘natural’ options really gets the mirror clean and streak free.

  3. I would like to try out the following three products:
Veggie and fruit scrub cloth —-to make sure I get all our lovely red dirt off them.
Travel pack—to give to my daughter to use on her girls when they make the long trip through the Outback to visit family.
Kid’s Silver Care Toothbrush to give to my grandchildren to try out.
I am intrigued by these cloths and they must be good if you are endorsing them. I’ll have to look into it a bit more.

  5. 1. Veggie & Fruit Scrub – even organic fruit and veggies need to be properly washed and cleaned, but this cloth would be great for the “conventionally grown” ones.
    2. Scrubby Corner cloth – would be great for getting into those difficult kitchen corners and getting the kitchen spotless.
    3. Large Bath Towel – After a hard day cleaning and cooking to provide my family with the healthiest options possible, and then a soak in a naturally soothing bath, just to wrap myself up and relax in a big fluffy towel would be a sheer delight.

  7. The three items that I would absolutely love include:
    * The veggie and fruit scrub cloth to remove all the chemicals and toxins from my fruit and vegetables.
    * Lint Mitt to effectively remove the fluff that is drawn onto some of my clothes.
    * Enviro Wand with two-sided sleeve as it is useful for cleaning under the fridge, and other hard to reach areas.

  9. kitchen scrub cloth – Want to use it on my stainless steel pots and pans and my tub of course.
enviro cloth – want to use it kitchen sink, kitchen counters, walls, appliances. My of my appliances are white. I just want to wipe everything clean, clean, clean.
scrubby corner cloth – I really need this for my stove top and frig. I would like to use it on my entry way tile to keep it clean all the time.

  13. I would like to try out the following products:
    1. Veggie & Fruit Scrub Cloth.
I am very meticulous about washing and cleaning my veggies and spend ages doing it. This would make removal of both chemicals and organic matter / soil very much easier and less time consuming.
    2. Large Bath Towel
I certainly could do with a new bath towel – my current towels are reaching the end their life! It says it is super absorbent which is great and has a 2 year warranty so should be good quality.
    3. Dishwashing Liquid
Not only does it say it is useful for the dishes, but also for removing the stains from clothing. I always seem to get some of the cooking ending up on my clothes!
Glad to see a giveaway which doesn’t involve social media. Good luck and congratulations to who ever is the lucky winner.

  17. 1. Veggie & Fruit Scrub Cloth – to have less chemicals and dirt in our fruit and veggies!
    2. Hair turban – my hair is thick and long(ish – I just had it cut) and takes forever to dry. I usually wrap it in a towel but can only do that for so long. This looks like I would be able to pop it on to help the drying and leave it until I’m ready to do my hair.
    3. Mop starter kit- I hate mopping floors and this looks like it would be a quick and easy way to do it!

  19. I would like to try one of the following three items so I can continue on my mission to obtain a chemical free home.
    1. Norwex flooring system – anti bacterial wet mop pad.
    2. Enviro wand for all the hard to reach places (I’m short).
    3. Enviro towel so I am able to clean my stainless steel appliances.

  21. I would like to try:
    1. The hair turban – I have FSHD, a type of muscular dystrophy which affects my arms and makes it’s really difficult to get my hair wrapped up in my towel every morning and the turban looks smaller, lighter and easy to use.
    2. The veggie & fruit scrub cloth – my youngest boy is obsessed with apples and it would be great to know they’re chemical-free & wax-free.
    3. The make-up removal cloth set – I have dermatitis on my eyelid (which cracks all the time, ouch!) and I desperately want to stop using make-up removers containing chemicals on it. This might be the answer!

  23. 1. Dust mitt – to remove lint from my clothes without using a sticky roller which is not good for the environment
    2. Oven and grill cleaner – I can’t use commercial brands due to asthma but find the natural cleaners don’t really clean the oven
    3. Veggie and fruit scrub cloth – I live in a regional city and have no organic produce other than what I grow myself. This would allow me to properly clean the veggies and fruit we buy to remove all chemicals

  29. I’m going to look at the catalogue later, but wouldn’t you know it, as soon as I’ve sat down to read ibot, my wifi is AWOL, and there’s only so much one can do on a phone!!
I love the sound of the makeup ones especially, but also these ones for acne. I’ll admit I’m a little sceptical though like you’re friend was. I like to be proven wrong 🙂

  31. I’d like to try;
    1. The fruit and veggie wash, because it’s hard to get all organic so I’d like something to get the pesticides off.
    2. The Marine Organics lotion, because i’m trying to find a natural lotion which keeps my hands from chapping.
    3. The Crystal deodorant, because I’m curious if it works.

  33. I have been mostly chemical free for the last few years and have spent a lot of time trying different products and cleaning recipes & am always on the hunt for that “one product”. I would love to try
    1. the fruit and veggie scrub cloth – sounds fantastic – has got to beat my scrubbing brush that bruises the food and takes skin off fruit.
    2. body and face microfiber cloths – I have developed a skin allergy to something unknown and have to wash with olive oil which has become really unpleasant after 8 months. In the process of purchasing some at the moment – can’t wait to try them – so hopeful they will work as well as they sound
    3. the crystal deodorant – bit unsure as I have tried a crystal one before and reacted to it but I’ve tried so many natural and organic ones that I figure I have to be ok with one sometime!
    4. the enviro cloth – the one I have of another brand doesn’t seem to really clean anything – always looking for a product that actually works!

  35. I would love the envirocloth, friut and veggie scrubber and the dish mat. My kitchen is often used by dear hubby and 3 teen aged boys. Maybe id be better of scrubbing them with the envirocloth before they enter the house hahaha!
On a side note, when our kids were young we would enjoy new foods in front of them, never offering them any, and they would WANT to try it. Our kids were eating everything from avocado to steamed clams by age 4.

  37. The final give away is here. I really took a serious look at the catalog today and I believe I have chosen wisely.
The first purchase I would make is the dream starter kit! This would be the perfect way to to reduce all the indoor toxins. This kit includes all the cloths, mitts, towels, paste and powder you would need!
The second item I would purchase is the toilet brush system, which includes cleanser for approximately a year! As the only female I need this system quite desperately.
The final purchase would be the fluff & tumble dryer balls. I live very near Seattle and we are famous for our rain! I am only able to dry laundry on the line about 3 months out of the year so you can imagine how much a savings of 25% would add up to; quite a bit really.
It was hard to pick only three, the products are great.

on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues
and I find it very troublesome to inform the reality however I will certainly come
    again again.
