Kirsten McCulloch (that’s me, I really don’t know why I’m writing about myself in the 3rd person!) is the editor of SustainableSuburbia.net. She is also a mother of three (ages 1, 5 and 9), a wife and partner to a wonderful man, a writer, and occasionally, a gardener. This blog is about her personal journey towards sustainable living.

In this blog Kirsten writes about her whole family’s efforts to live more sustainably, including those of her three children, Liam, Mikaela and Eliane. But at the same time she limits just how much of their stories she will tell, and these days Liam often reads over posts before they are published, if they feature him.

Some of the articles on Sustainable Suburbia have grown out of posts on this blog, but then some of them haven’t, and of course many articles there have been contributed by other writers or bloggers. All the posts here are by Kirsten though. 🙂

Usually we both work part time, and perhaps writing this blog is my answer to being a full time mother again. We also have a dog, a cat, three chickens, three apple trees, a lemon tree, a medlar (which hasn’t fruited yet), and this year a very substandard vegetable garden. 2011 is going to be the year we get a bunch more fruit trees into the ground, and the year we declutter. At least a little…
