The Fabulous Norwex Makeup Removal Cloth

Pulling the winning entries out for the Envirocloth giveaway | SustainableSuburbia.net
Well, we are in the middle of giveaway central here at the moment, and I have 5 winners to announce from last fortnight’s giveaway, plus another giveaway to talk about!
First, this fortnight’s giveaway. And yes, this time it is open World Wide and with No Social Media requirement!
This week I was planning to give away a window cloth, but I’ve decided to give you a chance to win one of the lovely Norwex makeup removal cloths instead. Why? Because last week I gave two away to some lovely (in person) volunteers who both had a go at removing their makeup – mascara included – just with this cloth and water. And they both loved them! They were so impressed, as were all the people watching. I don’t wear much makeup, so I hadn’t tried them myself before, but I can now see why they are so popular.
Fabulous suede microfibre Norwex Makeup Removal Cloths in purple, green and blueAll you need to do is to wet the cloth under running water, wring it out and fold to use a flat side. Wipe your face and around your eyes until your face is completely clean! They don’t pull or hurt your skin at all.
They are a soft suede microfibre, which is gentle on the skin, and especially good around the eye area, but with a tight weave that effectively removes everything, including mascara and other dark make up. All you need is the cloth and a little water.
If you don’t wear makeup, you can still use these lovely cloths to clean your face, no need for any cleansers at all.
These fantastic cloths are specifically designed for sensitive skin and the delicate eye area, and are a great choice for conditions like eczema or for those with dry or “older” skin! 🙂

I have three cloths to give away this time! I will give one to someone from outside Australia, and two within Australia.

You can enter by doing either of the following:

1. If you have used Norwex products before, tell us your favourite product and why.
or
2. Take a look at the 2014 Norwex catalogue (linked from here) and come back and leave a comment about the product you would most like to have, and why.
Then for bonus entries, you can share on Pinterest, G+, Facebook or Twitter and post another comment linking to your share/s 🙂
Entries close last thing on Friday 28 February, and will be announced on my March 4 post, along with the next giveaway!

Now, the winners of the envirocloth giveaway are:

[Drumroll please!]

  1. Yay, I’m on a roll!! Thanks so much!
The product that’s next on my list to order (e.g. the one I would most like to have but haven’t ordered yet) is the fruit and veg scrub cloth. I think this would be awesome to scrub off dirt and chemicals from fruit/veggies so you don’t have to peel away the goodness.

    1. You’re welcome Bec!
Yes, I have the fruit and veg scrub and I love it. 🙂
(Keep in mind though that some of the worst chemicals are absorbed into the vegetables, so just scrubbing or even peeling won’t get rid of everything 🙁 )

  2. I have to say even though it is the item for the giveaway, it would be the makeup removal cloth. I have been looking for something that works well (especially for mascara) that doesn’t end up in your eyes or making your skin feel dried out or covered in a film.
This cloth sound like the perfect solution and I get the added bonus of not putting stuff on my skin that can be absorbed and may not be so great for my insides 🙂

  3. Hi
I Would love to try out the norwex makeup remover cloth.Cant seem to find a good cleanser to get rid of my adult acne! Hopefully the cloths can help remove my sunscreen too.

    1. Hi Kim, yes, they would certainly remove sunscreen, and have a very good reputation with adult acne. One of my readers emailed me when I first mentioned Norwex to tell me that she had signed up as a consultant specifically after using the cloths (to excellent effect) for adult acne.
The only thing is, they do recommend washing them daily if you use them for acne, so if you win, just the one won’t really cut it! But, it will give you a chance to try it out 🙂

      1. Hi Arlene,
Try rubbing a little soap (just the soap your wash your hands with) onto the stain, and then rub it against itself and rinse. That usually works with fresh stains (especially waterproof mascara sometimes doesn’t rinse out easily). If it’s been “washed in”, it might be more difficult to move though.

  4. I have to say I would prefer the makeup removal cloths, at the moment I’m using oliv oil but I’m always worried it will end up in my eyes

  5. Hi Kirsten,
Thank you for an opportunity to win without Social Media!
I looked at the catalog and it wasn’t just ONE product but several I like the sound of.
I narrowed it down to 3 for this comment.
The Lint Mit – anyone who owns a pair of black or dark blue work pants will love this if it works for them. Pantyhose is great but a mit would be easier to manipulate 🙂
Hair turban – getting ready in a hurry quite often has my wrapped towel become unwound many times in one morning! As long as this turban also dried quickly after use this would be fabulous.
Veg-Fruit Scrub cloth – As a Raw Vegan, and without a green mile (ie. close) organic market at my disposal for my veg/fruit , cleaning my fruit of any contaminant is vital for my health. If this does what it says it can, I would be a step closer and quicker to healthier produce.
I don’t wear makeup but as a facial dermititis sufferer the norwex makeup removal cloth sounds like a good idea.
    Enjoy your week,

  6. Wonderful news! Thanks for running the comp, I’m so excited to try Norwex for myself, as I have a friend that keeps raving about it.
Love the sound of the makeup cloth, Miss 17 loves makeup and wears a lot (not that she needs to, but she doesn’t listen to me!), and it costs us a fortune to keep her stocked with makeup wipes – this would save us a mint!

  7. Is it cheating to say the makeup removal cloth! I have never heard or seen of anything like this. Sounds amazing.

  8. Would love to try the make up removal cloth, trying to get rid of bad chemicals from my beauty regime & this would give it a great boost! Thanks 🙂

  9. Hi, I would love the Optic Cloth, I am always trying to get my prescription glasses and sunglasses clean as I am blind as a bat and have to wear them all the time 🙂 The Makeup removal cloth also sounds brilliant, I always feel I am wasting so much using those little cotton makeup remover pads.

  10. Oooh…it all sounds so great…way too hard to choose just one!!
The things that grabbed me were the kids toothbrushes as I always worry that it so hard to clean toothbrushes and the protection of silver sounds like a great solution….And the fruit and veg scrub cloth also sounds great as I am not convinced a rinse is enough!

  11. I don’t like to use any chemicals or even soap so the makeup cloth would be great for me.
I would like fruit and veg scrub cloth – I wash most vegies in vinegar and water already but a good cloth would make life easier.

  12. Hi Kirsten,
I Would love to try out the Norwex makeup remover cloth or some other cloth to clean up my bathroom and kitchen without anny other products. I don’t know if we can find Norwex here in Europe, but I like the idea of cleaning my house without all that toxic stuff, especally with kids in the household. Love to here from you. 🙂 Nicola.

  13. Sounds like a great idea. Although… I have a microfiber ‘phobia’ I guess you could call it. It’s one of them things that gives me shivers every time I touch it. So not such a great idea for me 🙁

  14. Hi Kirsten,
I’m definitely interested in the Norwex make up removal cloth. I have extremely delicate and sensitive skin and it often ends up red after I remove my make up. I’m trying to switch to more natural cosmetic products. Their bath towels look good too! I like the idea of cleaning my skin without any chemicals.
The fruit and veg cleaning cloth sounds fabulous! Thanks for running the competition internationally 🙂

  15. I know everyone seems to be raving about the make up removal cloths, but I am going to to be the the odd one here and have to say the I absolutely LOVE the Norwex Superior Mop Starter collection. It is the best mop I have ever used, and it was quite literally the thing that got me hooked on Norwex. The Superior Dry Mop pad works so well to pick up the finest dirt that even my broom and vacuum leave behind. The wet mop pad is amazing! You only use water when mopping and you can simply wet it under the faucet, or use a spray bottle. No more lugging around a heavy bucket of water, and the floors dry quickly–within 5 minutes or less. I love it!

  16. I am yet to try these wonderful products and would be keen to try the streak free window cloth. My 13mth loves the baby he sees in the mirror but so do his finger prints…not so much me! I dont want to use anything nasty as he also likes to kiss the mirror

    1. LOL, yes, my windows & mirrors tend to suffer from little people paying them too much attention too Tanya!

  17. There r lots of items I would love, but top on list would be the scrubby corner cloth. We don’t use sponges in the kitchen, only dish clothes, so this would be nice
    Thanks for the opportunity.

  18. I’d love to try one of the Norwex mops because I’ve heard other people rave about them and the cheap and nasty mop I currently have drives me bonkers!

  19. I love, LOVE my Norwex kitchen scrubbing cloth (blue with checkerboard pattern). I use one in the bathroom on my glass showerscreen, and the second in the kitchen for my dishes, including my Teflon pots and pans.
I can’t believe how much I’ve spent over the years on non-scratch scourers, when the Norwex cloth has lasted over 2 years and still looks brand new.
    Amazing product.
I would truthfully most love to try the makeup remover cloth. I have crazy sensitive skin that means I spend too much on cleansers to try and keep it happy. I’ve always been hesitant to try an alternative option for my skin, but would love to step out of my comfort zone.

  20. I’d most honestly want to try the Norwex make up removal cloths because I regularly suffer from the first world problem of “panda eyes”.

  21. i love norwex. and i have been wanting more facial cloths. and i would love to have the whole towel set for the bathroom!!!

  22. I would love to try the Enviro Wand with two-sided sleeve – I’m one of those weirdos who actually likes cleaning! Thanks for the chance 🙂
